LM-SEP Percorso in Relazioni e Politiche Internazionali

Anno: 2°

Modulo: e

The course aims at examining the historical development of religion from the emergence of “axial religions” to the premodern times.

We will study the significance of the long process of secularization in the last centuries. From a sociological point of view we’ll study some charismatic figures and movements inspired by them.

The question leads us to the last thirty years that seem to mark a return of religion into the public sphere: the analysis is about the relationship between globalization and religious fundamentalism.
