The focus of the course is the variety of private economic organisations that are committed to serving the interests of disadvantaged groups or public interest objectives as a priority. Their strengths and weaknesses are examined in comparison with profit-making or public enterprises. Special attention is paid to the Economy of Communion initiative, and to the Economy of Francesco. The course includes study visits and meetings with protagonists.
