Theoretical Philosophy

Fil 116 Theoretical Philosophy

Class hours: 42

Credits (ECTS): 6

LM-OTSpecialization in Philosophy

Year: 2nd

Terms: 1st-2nd

Course held in Italian

The course aims to analyze two modes of knowledge – faith and knowledge -. The most significant theoretical assumptions will be considered, with particular emphasis on the contact points. It will be a matter of investigating, in the light of the not obvious but propitious meeting between philosophy and Christian revelation, the value attributed to intuition, to the concept, to the logical and logical forms of knowledge, also considering the potential and the limits of the subjective faculties. The proposed itinerary will be marked by the analysis of some keywords of classical metaphysics – being, principle, unity, freedom, ontology – in dialogue with modern science. Non-attending students will have to discuss, during the examination, an additional text of your choice indicated in the bibliography.
