Il corso prende in esame alcuni dei concetti principali presenti sia nelle scienze politiche, sia nelle pratiche politiche. I contenuti di questi concetti cambiano, a seconda delle culture nelle quali sono collocati. Gli studenti sono coinvolti nell’approfondimento di tali significati, portando il contributo della loro cultura di appartenenza; in tal modo, si predispone una base comune di definizioni e significati, sulla quale costruire il lavoro nei diversi corsi. Il corso spiegherà anche la natura e la metodologia delle diverse scienze che si occupano della politica, spiegando il contributo di ciascuna.
