LM-CUSpecializations in Pedagogy of Dialogue and in Communication Peace and Dialogue

Course held in Italian

The course aims to offer students the foundations of a cognitive approach useful for deepening the category of “dialogue”, from both a theoretical (theor-) and applicative (-ethical) point of view. Through a participatory didactic methodology that will try to feed on dialogic foundations, we intend to offer some fundamental contents for a dialogic theory and ethics.

We will focus on five fundamental points: identity, the idea of the “other” in different cultures and religions, in particular the “religiously” other; an analysis of the “Golden Rule” in different cultures, trying to highlight the reference texts and “Good practices” in applying the “Golden Rule” within different traditions and between groups or representatives of different religions. The forth and fifth chapter will focus on the category of ‘dialogue’ in different religions, offering some reference examples (Gandhi for Hinduism, or some theologians or witnesses for Christianity, etc.) and the category of ‘fraternity’.
