Il processo di sviluppo che conduce la persona dalla dipendenza del periodo infantile all’autonomia dell’età adulta può essere considerato il compito di sviluppo principale cui l’adolescente deve far fronte approdare a una identità e una relazionalità stabile, matura e coerente. Attraverso i contributi provenienti dalle differenti prospettive teoriche e dalla letteratura scientifica in ambito psicologico, il corso si propone di offrire elementi utili a comprendere e a sostenere i processi che sottendono i numerosi cambiamenti che caratterizzano il periodo adolescenziale e che riguardano principalmente la dimensione corporea, la costruzione dell’identità, la differenziazione e l’emancipazione dalla famiglia, le relazioni affettive tra pari, il proprio ruolo nella società. Particolare attenzione sarà rivolta ai contesti in cui questo processo ha luogo – famiglia, scuola, società – e ai fenomeni sociali di maggiore attualità che possono sostenerlo o ostacolarlo, in ottica educativa all’interno della prospettiva persona-relazione.
