Il corso intende offrire un’introduzione ai temi principali della psicologia dello sviluppo e dell’educazione in una prospettiva di promozione dell’essere umano in quanto persona-relazione. Se da un lato è dato condiviso che lo sviluppo adeguato della sfera cognitiva, affettiva e sociale della persona costituisca la base per la costruzione di una personalità matura in grado di fare esperienza di una vita soddisfacente in una dimensione relazionale, dall’altro le conoscenze teoriche e il campo di azione della psicologia sono altamente complesse e differenziate da risultare spesso disorientanti. Pertanto il corso vuole favorire l’acquisizione di riferimenti critico-valutativi delle diverse prospettive teoriche in modo da consentire un avvicinamento e una padronanza delle questioni attinenti lo sviluppo in infanzia e adolescenza in un’ottica educativa.

Nello specifico, i contenuti illustreranno i contributi più significativi di autori, modelli e strategie di intervento elaborati nell’ambito della psicologia dello sviluppo e dell’educazione, le più recenti conoscenze riguardo i cambiamenti evolutivi che caratterizzano lo sviluppo percettivo, cognitivo, comunicativo, affettivo e sociale all’interno del processo di crescita del bambino e del ragazzo.
