This course will introduce the field of developmental psychopathology. It will be focused on the main features of a range of emotional, cognitive and behavioural problems during childhood and adolescence (Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Anxiety and Affective Disorders, , Selective Mutism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder), highlighting the causal factors influencing the different developmental trajectories, with a focus on interindividual and intercultural differences. Psycho-educative strategies aimed to promote the childrens’ and adolescents’ integral development (in the cognitive, emotional and social area) in different socio-educational contexts, will be also addressed.
